The Murray House is a building mixing Western and Chinese elements. It has witnessed the changing Hong Kong for over 100 years. Ever since it was rebuilt in Stanley in 1998, it has been a great place to hang out for locals. Stanley offers a fun, relaxed, and romantic atmosphere to its visitors. I wanted to reflect that with the creation for the competition.
I have used closed to 10,000 bricks for the set. The area is about 3 foot by 3 foot. Due to the limit of size, the number of pillars were reduced by 1/3. But every detail of the building and its visitors has been accurately portrayed in the model.
